The Challenge
To help public health leaders learn from extraordinary progress, Exemplars in Global Health needed to transform its vast collection of data-driven research into an immersive, collaborative digital platform. The challenge was to create a solution that could translate complex scientific data into powerful, replicable narratives to drive meaningful progress.
My Role
As Creative Director, I led a proactive strategic exploration that focused on both the user experience and user interface of a proof of concept (POC). I partnered with key stakeholders and team members and owned the conceptual and visual design.
The Solution
I partnered with Exemplars' stakeholders and content creators to define the project's foundational needs. Through a series of conceptual and architectural design explorations I created high-fidelity user interface designs that elegantly communicated the scientific understanding of 15 vastly different research areas, blending written content with in-depth visualizations, infographics, and short-form video.
The Impact
The proof of concept was received with overwhelming support from the larger organization, which led to several years of funding to bring the platform to fruition. This successful strategic initiative enabled Exemplars to scale its impact, continuing to onboard new research and academic partners while growing its collective global user base.
